Privacy policy

This policy explains what information The Trendy Media collects, why, and what you can do about it. We aim to follow the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023.

What we collect

• Account details: your name, email address and password. Passwords are stored as a one-way hash, so nobody at The Trendy Media can see them.
• Orders: the links you submit, the services you buy, quantities, prices and order status.
• Payments: the amount and reference of each wallet top-up. Card and bank details are entered on Korapay's checkout and never reach our servers.
• Technical data: a login cookie that keeps you signed in, and basic server logs kept by our hosting provider.
• Sign-up checks: the network address you sign up from and a random identifier stored in your browser. We use these only to stop one person claiming the welcome bonus with several accounts.

Why we use it

• To run your account, process payments and deliver your orders.
• To answer support requests and prevent fraud, including welcome bonus abuse.
• To meet legal and accounting obligations.

We don't sell your personal information or use it for advertising.

Who we share it with

• Korapay, to process your payments.
• Our service suppliers, who receive only the link and quantity needed to deliver an order.
• Vercel and Neon, who host our website and database.
• Beamer, which shows our product updates. It receives a random account ID (not your name or email) so it knows which updates you've seen.
• Authorities, when the law requires it.

How long we keep it

We keep your account and order history while your account is open, and payment records for as long as the law requires. You can ask us to delete your account at any time.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or object to how we use it. Contact us using the details below and we'll respond within 30 days.

Cookies

We use one essential cookie to keep you logged in, and your browser stores your light or dark mode choice. We don't use advertising or tracking cookies.
